Radiothon Fundraiser Held for 20th Year Celebrates Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital

Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital celebrated its 20th Anniversary with the return of its most beloved and impactful fundraiser – the 100.7 WHUD Radiothon for the Kids.

Now in its 20th year, the 100.7 WHUD Radiothon for the Kids remains a major fundraiser for the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. All donations made during the event held November 20-22 support the lifesaving and life-changing pediatric services offered by Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital to children from the Hudson Valley and beyond.

Throughout the three-day broadcast, 100.7 WHUD personalities spoke from the lobby of Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital with patients and families who shared their stories of triumph over significant medical challenges. Generous partners supporting the 100.7 WHUD Radiothon for the Kids include Pamal Broadcasting, All Aboard Child Education Centers, Ben & Jerry’s, Coral Sea Pools, Genesis Jewelers, Just Lift Gym, Paul Gdanski Engineering, ShopRite Supermarkets, Southeast Kitchen and Bath, Splash Car Wash, Subaru of White Plains, Suburban Carting and Tompkins Community Bank.

Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital leaders Dr. Michael Gewitz and the hospital’s new Physician-in-Chief Dr. Erika Berman Rosenzweig spoke about the importance to donations to fund services such as the expansion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Cancer Care Services, and Children’s Cardiac Surgery programs.

This year’s patients in the spotlight were Mackenzie, 5, of Putnam County, who received care for toxic epidermal necrolysis, Christopher, 5, of Westchester County, who receives care for epilepsy, Olivia, 11, of Putnam County who received care for aplastic anemia, and Charles 11, of Westchester County who receives care for acute asthma.
