Whether you have a special connection to WMCHealth or are working on a service project, fundraising can unite your community, school or workplace behind a worthy cause.
For whatever reason you’ve chosen to sponsor a fundraiser for us, we thank you.
In Your School
Children, teens and young adults of all ages can be fundraisers! You are never too young to make an impact. Children, with the support of their schools and families, host FUN-draisers such as taping a teacher to the wall, pie a teacher in the face, spell-a-thons and walks to raise money for healthcare in their community.
In the Community
Rally the support of your community to ensure your family, friends and neighbors continue to receive high-quality healthcare close to home. Religious and civic organizations, sports teams, and other community groups are stronger together when they host events and fundraisers, such as active events, including golf outings or 5k races, food and wine events and more. The possibilities are endless.
In Your Workplace
Colleagues uniting for a cause. Support local healthcare by raising funds through a parking spot challenge, office bake-off, or department feud (family feud with an office twist!) You can double your impact if your employer sponsors a matching gift program.
Westchester Warriors Youth Hockey League
The Westchester Warriors Youth Hockey League utilizes peer-to-peer fundraising and hosts tournaments to support the Pediatric Oncology Program at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
The Russin Family Tribute
Adam and Andrea Russin commemorate the passing of their twin sons Jacob and Samuel with regular and generous gifts and ongoing outreach to family and friends to support the Isaac and Naomi Kaplan Family Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.
Evan’s Team established in memory of 19-year-old Evan Lieberman hosts an annual Community Day. The mission of Evan’s Team is to raise funds for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and Westchester Medical Center Health Network and to combat distracted driving. Guests enjoy a fun-filled day of golf, Mah Jongg, Canasta and dodgeball. In addition, there is an auction, live entertainment, dinner and more.
Three Ways to Support Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital
Be the change by becoming a Change Maker. Change Makers include schools, organizations and community members of all ages. Change Makers reach out to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and more to raise funds for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Participants receive a container to collect change and are encouraged to create a personalized fundraising web page. Annual Change Maker program fundraising activities will be celebrated during the 100.7 WHUD Radiothon every November.
Dance Marathon, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program, is a student-led, year-round movement uniting students across the U.S. and Canada to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Participants are encouraged to host events throughout the year (bake sales, game nights, fun runs, etc.) and create web pages that can be shared with family and friends on social media. The year culminates with a celebration — usually a dance where children cared for at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital are invited to attend and share their stories.
Extra Life, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals program, unites thousands of gamers worldwide to play games (video, tabletop, outdoor games and more) in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, including Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Since 2005, funds raised through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have helped Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital continue to provide high-quality emergency, acute, chronic and specialty medical services to babies, children and teens from the Hudson Valley and beyond.
